    Meet Frank

    Frank Moore founded Vintage Financial Services in 1985 in order to better serve his clients.  Previously, he’d worked in the banking industry and with an investment firm.

    Frank continues to lead the Vintage Financial team as Chief Investment Officer, using the investment strategies he developed three decades ago.

    He is well known nationally in the financial planning community, having recently served as Chairman of the Board of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.  In his role, he worked with the leadership of the Financial Planning Association and the Certified Financial Planner Board to help promote and shape the Department of Labor’s Fiduciary rule that would have required all financial advisors to put their client’s interests first when advising on IRA assets.

    Frank has been named by Barron’s magazine as one of America’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors for the past three years.  He was also recognized by Forbes magazine in 2018 and 2019 on their Best-in-State Wealth Advisor list, the highest ranked advisor in Washtenaw County.  Frank was also one of 100 advisors featured in the 2012 book, America’s Top Financial Advisors: Financial Strategies from the Titans of Wealth Management.

    Numerous national publications have quoted Frank and featured his market insights. Those have included the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Business Week, Financial Planning, the Journal of Financial Planning, Medical Economics, Investment News, Wealth Managerand others. Frank has also spoken at national investment conferences on topics ranging from the investment management process to applying technology in a wealth management practice.

    He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a B.A. in economics. After his undergraduate studies, Frank became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional™ and has earned a Master of Science degree in financial services with a specialization in wealth management.

    Frank and his wife, Jennifer, love Ann Arbor and support the local quality of life with the Frank and Jennifer Moore Family Foundation.

  • Jack McCloskey, MS, CFP®, RTRP

    Jack McCloskey, MS, CFP®, RTRP

    Meet Jack

    Jack McCloskey is a Senior Financial Planner at Vintage and serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional™ and a Registered Tax Return Preparer.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University where he earned a degree in Personal Financial Planning with a minor in Economics.  Jack has also achieved a Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning.

    As a Senior Financial Planner at Vintage, Jack is a member of the tax team, serves on our investment committee and is our go-to advisor for help on estate planning.

    During his time at Western, Jack was a member of the Lee Honors College where he researched monetary unions in developing countries.  He also gained experience with another fee only wealth management firm in the Kalamazoo area.

    Jack is a member of the Washtenaw Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Financial Planning Association.  He serves on the board of Building Matters in Ann Arbor.

    He lives in Ypsilanti with his wife, Ashley.

  • John Owens, CFP®, EA

    Director of Financial Planning and Tax

    John Owens, CFP®, EA

    John Owens is our Director of Financial Planning and Tax and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional™. He earned the Enrolled Agent (EA) credential in 2018 and is admitted to practice before the IRS. John heads up our tax team, serves on our investment committee and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Financial Planning and Taxation from Golden Gate University.

    Prior to joining Vintage in 2016, he worked as a financial analyst at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clarion University with a degree in Corporate and Personal Finance, and Monetary Economics.

    Outside of work John is a member of the leadership team for the St. Mary’s Student Parish Graduate Students and Young Professionals group. He is also active with United Way of Washtenaw County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping provide free tax preparation for low income families.

    John lives in Ann Arbor and enjoys walking, swimming, and kayaking in his free time.

  • Jamieson Hopp

    Financial Planner

    Jamieson Hopp

    Jamieson Hopp joined Vintage in 2018 as a Financial Planner. He grew up in eastern Washington state and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Jamieson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Planning while at CSU and has passed the rigrous CFP exam.  He’ll earn the designation in 2020 when he completes the experience requirement.

    Prior to starting at Vintage, Jamieson gained experience as an intern at another Fee Only financial planning firm in Colorado. Jamieson is part of the Vintage tax team and serves on the Investment Committee.

    Jamieson is an avid sports fan and is excited to be in Ann Arbor.

  • Amanda Massinople

    Financial Planner

    Amanda Massinople

    Amanda Massinople joined Vintage in 2018 as an Administrative Assistant and has since become a Financial Planner. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Italian and worked in the education field as a teacher and college counselor for a few years.

    Amanda decided to make a career change and has begun her course work for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

    Amanda lives in Ann Arbor, though she will always be a Buckeye.

  • Nina Di Mauro

    Investment Analyst

    Nina Di Mauro

    Nina joined Vintage at the end of 2018 as an intern working primarily with our tax team.  In 2019 she came on full time as an Investment Analyst.

    She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Accounting.  Before starting at Vintage, Nina worked at EMU as a supplemental instructor in financial and managerial accounting.

    She plans to pursue the coursework required to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

  • Andrea Balser

    Andrea Balser

    Andrea Balser joined Vintage in 2019 as a Financial Planner. She grew up in West Branch, Michigan and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Personal Financial Planning from Central Michigan University.

    Andrea has completed the required coursework for the CFP exam, and plans to sit for the exam later this year.

    Andrea lives in Ann Arbor and enjoys traveling, hiking, and being outdoors in her free time.

  • Michael Stros

    Michael Stros

    Michael Stros joined Vintage in 2019 as a Financial Planner.  He grew up in Casco, Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning.  He has completed the required coursework to sit for the CFP exam and plans to take the exam later this year.

    In his free time, he enjoys playing sports and skiing in the winter.

    Pam Tassinari

    Pam Tassinari joined Vintage in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant.  Previously she managed another downtown Ann Arbor service business and has experience in human resources and sales.  She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in communications.

    Pam lives in Plymouth and has four children with three currently in college.

  • Debbie Vandermade

    Operations Assistant

    Debbie Vandermade

    Debbie Vandermade is our Operations Assistant at Vintage.  She joined Vintage in 2019 after leaving her role as Operations Manager at a local non-profit where she managed contracting, compliance, administration, facilities, and oversaw IT. She supports the Operations Manager and Vintage Team through a variety of operations responsibilities and special projects.

    Debbie graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BBA in Accounting. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and has two children and three grandchildren.  She also serves as Chair of the board of the Ann Arbor YMCA.

  • Jennifer Moore

    Controller & Human Resources Director

    Jennifer Moore

    Jennifer Moore co-founded Vintage in 1985 with her future husband, Frank. Jennifer prepared income taxes for many of our clients and was executive director of Ann Arbor Area 2000 before taking some time off to raise their three children.

    Jennifer returned to Vintage and is now controller and human resources director.  She also also serves on the board of directors of the Michigan Theater.

  • Candace Kinsler

    Client Account Specialist

    Candace Kinsler

    Candace Kinsler has been an important part of Vintage since joining us in 1996.  She makes it easy for our clients to get paperwork completed accurately and she’s happy to send along funds for retirement income or other portfolio withdrawals. She joined Vintage with ten years of experience in the investment management business and four years as a paralegal. 
     
    Candace lives in Ann Arbor and has two sons and a grandson.

  • Niki Barnes, FPQP®

    Operations Manager

    Niki Barnes, FPQP®

    Niki Barnes, FPQP® is our Operations Manager at Vintage.  She joined Vintage in 2013 after managing a small service business in downtown Ann Arbor.  She also helps make client’s lives easy by handling paperwork and administrative issues.

    In 2017, Niki earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional designation after completing a course of study encompassing the financial planning process, the five disciplines of financial planning and general financial planning concepts, terminology and product categories

    Niki attended Eastern Michigan University where she majored in Math and Physics.  She lives in Ann Arbor with her three children.
